1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Cake Shed website and services operated by Betete Lise Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using Cake Shed, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Definitions

• "Customer" means any person who browses the site, views shed listings, or subscribes to push notifications.
• "Baker" means any registered user who creates and manages a shed listing on Cake Shed.
• "Shed" means a Baker's listing page on Cake Shed.
• "Content" means any text, images, photographs, descriptions, or other material submitted to Cake Shed.

3. Acceptable Use for Customers

When using Cake Shed as a Customer, you agree that you will:

• Subscribe to push notifications only for sheds you genuinely consider visiting or purchasing from.
• Not spam, abuse, or attempt to overload our endpoints, APIs, or infrastructure.
• Not use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the site without our written permission.
• Not interfere with the proper working of the site or attempt to circumvent any security features.
• Provide accurate information when reporting a shed or expressing interest.
• Not use the platform to harass, abuse, or discriminate against any Baker or other user.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any Customer who violates these rules.

4. Baker Responsibilities

When you create and operate a shed as a Baker, you are responsible for the Content you publish. You agree that:

• All information about your shed, including descriptions, opening hours, location, and contact details, is accurate and kept up to date.
• You only open your shed when you are genuinely available to serve Customers.
• You comply with all applicable food safety, hygiene, licensing, and trading laws in your area.
• You are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the products you sell.
• You will not use Cake Shed to sell prohibited items, including alcohol, tobacco, or anything illegal.
• You will respect Customer privacy and only use Customer data obtained through the platform for the purpose of fulfilling orders or responding to enquiries.

5. Photos and Text on Your Shed Page

All photos and text displayed on your shed page must:

• Be accurate, truthful, and representative of what you actually offer.
• Be your own original Content, or Content you have permission to use.
• Not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademarks.
• Not contain misleading, defamatory, abusive, offensive, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate material.
• Not contain images of people without their consent.
• Comply with applicable advertising and consumer protection laws.

We may remove or request changes to any Content that violates these requirements. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of Cake Shed may require a paid subscription. Where payments are processed, they are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store your full payment card details. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms will be presented to you before purchase.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the Content you upload to Cake Shed. By uploading Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that Content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting Cake Shed.

The Cake Shed name, logo, and platform design are our property and may not be used without our written permission.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have breached these terms or if your conduct harms our platform or users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Limitation of Liability

Cake Shed is a platform that connects Bakers with Customers. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of products sold by Bakers, nor for any disputes between Bakers and Customers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding any claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Cake Shed after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
